Why do u think certain people have been excluded from participating in government?

I think certain people have been excluded from participating in government because for many reason. In the past women were excluded from participating in government because men thought women should just stay at home. Then came laws that excluded African Americans from taking part in government. This happened because people believed that people with with their skin should not be permitted to participate in government.

I think this is so because men of higher stature thought that they were the only ones suited for taking part in government.
